Hello World

Ahem. I've toyed with the idea of a blog for a long time, but I've always figured that no one would read it, and if they did they would quickly stop. I don't get to the point quickly, I don't do irony or indirection or treasure the moment for the moment's sake. My "style" is more to beat things to death -- I could have been a great lawyer, and it's a good thing I didn't go to law school. Practicing at law would have exercised my scholastic tendency to monstrous proportions, and who knows what the money and agency of a successful legal career would have done to me? Or worse, failing in spite of such an obvious talent for quibbling pedantry. Is this kind of meandering the way these things are supposed to go?

Anyway, I'm a fan of Eden's, and I've a dim inkling that a different style might not be a bad thing. About all I know is that if this ever makes sense, I'm probably doing something wrong.
